Our Metallic Epoxy Floor Process
Metallic installations are more hands-on than flake or solid floors. After standard prep (diamond grinding, moisture testing, crack repair), we install a solid base coat — usually black or dark gray — that lets the metallic pigments pop. Then the metallic layer goes down, and this is where the art happens. Metallic pigments are blended into a clear epoxy and poured across the floor. We then manipulate the coating with rollers, brushes, torches, and solvents to create the swirls, veins, and depth patterns you want. Every motion shows up in the final floor, so the technique matters. Once it cures, a clear UV-stable topcoat seals it in. Total install time is two to three days because of the cure time between layers and the detailed work of the metallic layer itself.
